Workshop on Strengthening Human and Animal Health Collaboration on Zoonoses (Emerging and Neglected Zoonotic Diseases) in the ASEAN Plus Three Countries, 03-05 February 2009, Luang Prabang, Lao PDR

The ASEAN Secretariat is convening a Workshop on Strengthening Human and Animal Health Collaboration on Zoonoses on 03-05 February 2009 in Luang Prabang. The workshop aims to develop and agree on a mechanism for collaboration between the ASEAN animal and human health sectors (ASWGL and AEGCD, as well as the Plus Three counterparts) to tackle zoonoses in the ASEAN Plus Three Countries.  

 

Representatives from the ASEAN Plus Three Countries will be in attendance, as well as from the international organisations like the World Health Organisation (WHO), World Organisation for Animal Health (OIE) and the Food and Agriculture Organisation (FAO).

The Information Centre on Emerging Infectious Diseases in the ASEAN Plus Three Countries was developed under the ASEAN Plus Three Emerging Infectious Diseases Programme of the ASEAN Secretariat, managed by the Indonesia Ministry of Health with financial assistance from Australian AID (AusAID)
